THE

STORY

1991

The Krusell story started back in 1991 when the two brothers, David and Marcus Krusell, who were both attending school at the time and wanted to explore the possibilities of earning a little extra pocket money since attending school was not all that glamorous for the wallet.

They decided to import shirts and leather belts from Asia to sell at the local flea markets in their hometown of Mölnlycke, a suburb just east of Gothenburg. An office was set up in the attic of their family home.

1993-94

In 1993, Nokia releases the first GSM handheld device which made Marcus and David look into the possibilities of making their first leather case for a cellular phone.

In 1994, Krusell launches their first cases for Nokia cell phones in Sweden, and the response was excellent.

1995

The Birth of Multidapt

Like many good ideas, they are often discussed in the most peculiar of places and situations. Multidapt was born from which happen to be the most ingenious hangover in Krusell\'s history.

-Instead of changing a winning concept producing the cases that we do, let's give the user the ability to carry the phone the way they prefer, Marcus Krusell one day said and the Multidapt System was born.

The Multidapt system was not as complete then as it is today, but opened the way to versatility and offered the ability for the user to choose their preference when carrying their device.

The Multidapt System is today patented worldwide and is mounted on most cellular and PDA cases Krusell produces.

1998

Krusell goes International

In 1998 Ulf Sandberg with Cebon Sales and Development AB, one of the largest distributors of wireless accessories and batteries in Sweden, contacted Krusell to offer a business proposal to obtain distribution of Krusell products in Sweden.

With an established distribution network, both Marcus and David could now focus and explore the possibilities of selling their products internationally.

2000

Two years later Krusell had reached a new level in both sales and administration. Marcus decided to pack his rucksack and move to Thailand to run operations.

Krusell was now a well-known name and had earned respect from the business community as a quality case manufacturer.

2006-07

Awarded as a Gasell Company

Both in 2006 and 2007 Krusell was awarded as one of Sweden's "Gasell companies" which means it is one of the fastest growing companies in Sweden at the time.

The competition also has very restricted criterias which has to be fulfilled such as doubled the turnover over a period of three years, to be profitable and to grow continuously.

2007

NEW Product line and segment

Krusell launches Purple Label - a completely new product line mainly aimed for women. The mobile phone case Divine was the pioneer of this line, and was well recieved.

As a natural step forward and with the experience from the mobile case market in design and sales - Krusell launches its first collection of laptop bags.

This first collection was a success and was soon followed by new launches within the same segment, including products such as Coco laptop bag.

2008

NEW Offices

The presence expands on several markets and Krusell opens up office in Japan, Germany and USA.

2010

NEW product segment - The Tablet cases

To follow the trends and movement of the Industry of telecom for 2010, Krusell now launches a new product segment - the Tablet cases. The presence expands in the European markets and Krusell opens up office in France.

Krusell become a “Swedish celebrity” and launches three spectacular TV commercial spots.
